University of Arkansas - Program in Creative Writing and Translation Posted on April 22nd
Founded in the 1820’s, Fayetteville is a large hill town with many trees, a moderate climate, friendly people, good bookstores and cafes, a lively local culture, and, since 1966, one of the most productive graduate creative writing programs in the country.
Ours is a working program. With up to seven intensive workshops, courses in poetics and fiction theory, along with literature both traditional and contemporary, our students prepare themselves for the life of the writer. Students also have the benefit of biannual visits by guest writers who give readings, teach workshops, and offer individual attention to student work.
